March Notes From The Nest: Gardens, Soaks & Small-Town Hospitality Done Right

March in Mineral Wells feels like a deep inhale.

The gardens start waking up. The evenings stretch just a little longer. Front porches get used again. And we find ourselves sweeping pollen off the steps while dreaming about spring menus and open windows.

This month feels like movement — not hurried, just unfolding.

And there’s a lot unfolding.

Perch Pick: Clark Gardens GROW Festival

March GROW Festival at Clark Gardens

If you’re planning a March stay, you’ll want to time it around GROW at Clark Gardens.

This month-long festival celebrates creativity, curiosity, and hands-on discovery in one of the most beautiful settings in town. Think workshops, art, garden walks, and space to linger.

Because good neighbors make good things happen, we’ve teamed up for a little cross-perch generosity:

• Staying at Magpie Inn in March? Use code magpie for 10% off GROW online ticket purchases (excluding The Garden Party).

• Attending GROW? Your Clark Gardens receipt will include code GROW26 for 10% off a March stay at Magpie Inn.

We love when guests build a weekend around something beautiful.

Gardens by day. Porch by evening. That’s a pairing we can get behind.

Perch Pick: A New Stay Well Property

We’re welcoming something new to the Stay Well Property Management family — and it’s a first for Mineral Wells.

For the first time, guests will be able to book a stay that includes private, on-site mineral soaking tubs.

The owners were drawn here after experiencing the restorative power of Crazy Water themselves. What began as personal healing turned into a vision: create a place where others could soak deeply and exhale fully.

This restored three-bedroom home includes two outdoor mineral soaking tubs beneath a clear canopy made for stargazing and stillness.

It’s not at Magpie Inn — but it is part of the Stay Well family, and we’re excited to see wellness woven even more intentionally into our town’s story.

More soon.

Notes from the Nest (Community Edition)

March Notes From the Nest Hospitality in Mineral Wells

Hospitality doesn’t stop at our porch steps.

Five years ago, as part of the Tourism & Hospitality Council of Mineral Wells, Magen helped develop You’re Wellcome Hospitality College — a training designed to help our town be known (again) for thoughtful, intentional hospitality.

This week, the team gathered to teach the first cohort of 2026 — welcoming a new group of business owners, front-line staff, and leaders who care deeply about how guests experience Mineral Wells.

The Hospitality College began as a project of the Tourism Council, and this season Magen has stepped in to serve as Chair of that Council — continuing work that’s been building quietly for years.

It’s steady work. Intentional work. The kind that shapes culture over time.

Because a good stay doesn’t begin at check-in. It begins with the spirit of a place.

And we’re grateful to be part of tending that spirit.

March is shaping up to be a good one.

Gardens blooming.
Mineral water soaking.
Hospitality deepening.
Porch lights staying on a little longer.

If you’ve been thinking about a spring reset, Mineral Wells is stretching awake right on time.

From our perch to yours,
Magpie Inn
