There’s been a lot of gathering around the table lately at Magpie Inn.
Bridal brunches, summer travelers, upcoming Splendor menus spread across the kitchen counter, casual conversations drifting between coffee refills.
This season always seems to pull people together here and we’re so here for it.

Bridal Brunches at Magpie Inn

We’ve realized we really love this kind of gathering at the Inn.
Not the overly formal, everyone-afraid-to-touch-anything kind of brunch. The kind where people settle in quickly, refill their coffee without asking, and end up lingering around the table longer than they planned.
Bridal brunches at Magpie Inn have become one of our favorite ways to host.
Long grazing tables filled with pastries, fruit, warm biscuits, savory bites, and little sweet touches. Mimosas waiting nearby. Conversation bouncing between wedding plans, old stories, and someone inevitably saying, “Okay wait… who’s telling this story?”
If you’re planning a bridal shower, bridesmaids brunch, or small gathering this summer or fall, we’d love to help you create something memorable around the table.

Plan Ahead for July’s Splendor Dinner: Mamma Mia — July 19
In case you missed the May Splendor event, we’re giving you plenty of notice for this one.
July’s Splendor dinner arrives on the 19th with a Mamma Mia-inspired evening full of Mediterranean flavors, candlelight, shared tables, and the kind of meal that was never meant to be rushed through.
Splendor has become one of those evenings people tend to talk about long after the plates are cleared.
If you’ve been wanting to experience one of our Splendor dinners, now’s a good time to start making plans — especially if you’d like to pair it with a stay at Magpie Inn for a full weekend away.
Immersive dinner experience. A quiet night at the Inn. Slow coffee the next morning.
That sounds like a pretty good summer plan to us.

Soak Blue Haven Is Officially Open
A couple months ago, we shared a small sneak peek of a downtown Mineral Wells property that was still very much a work in progress.
Now it’s officially ready.
Soak Blue Haven has officially opened in historic downtown Mineral Wells. Its standout feature is deeply connected to the town’s history: private, on-site mineral soaking baths fed by the famous mineral waters that helped make Mineral Wells a legendary wellness destination generations ago.
It’s the kind of place designed for slowing down a little.
Soak in the mineral baths. Walk downtown for coffee or dinner. Spend the evening on the patio. Sleep in later than usual. Repeat as needed. We’ve loved watching this space come together piece by piece, and we’re excited to finally welcome guests into it this summer.

The Kitchen Finally Feels Like Magpie Inn
The kitchen has changed a lot since we first bought the Inn.
Some of those changes were practical — upgrading equipment, making the space work harder, figuring out how to feed guests well and host dinners comfortably.
But lately, the changes have been smaller and more personal.
Better lighting. Little collected pieces finding their place. Things becoming less “someone else’s kitchen” and more distinctly ours.
It’s funny how a room can shift just from adding details that actually reflect the people using it every day.
The kitchen has always carried a lot of life at Magpie Inn. Early breakfast prep. Late-night cleanup after dinners. Coffee brewing before guests wake up. Recipe testing. Half-finished conversations happening while someone’s slicing fruit at the counter.
Now the space finally feels like it matches the rhythm of what happens there.
A little layered.
A little lived-in.
And a little quirky.
Very Magpie Inn.

From our perch to yours,
Magpie Inn
