Nest Notes: November News Around the Inn
Big things are buzzing around the Inn this month—quite literally! Our newest arrival isn’t a guest or a kitten—it’s an EV charging station. Now, when you visit Magpie Inn, you can relax, recharge, and wake up to a full battery—yours and your car’s. It’s all part of our mix of cozy comfort and modern convenience, so you can spend less time plugging in and more time settling in.
Inside the Inn, we’re making a few updates of our own. A fresh coat of paint here, a refinished floor there—little touches that keep our old soul shining. Jeremy’s got a few exterior projects in the works too, proving that this place runs on more than just coffee and charm (though those help).

Feathered Forks: Thanksgiving Hosting Tips

The season of grazing and gathering has officially arrived, and if you’re looking for easy ways to host, start with the crowd-pleaser of all crowd-pleasers: the charcuterie board.
We shared an entire post with simple ideas for building one that looks impressive without the stress—because at Magpie, we believe your appetizer should spark conversation, not anxiety.
Read our Charcuterie Board Guide here.
(If you’ve ever needed an excuse to buy three kinds of cheese and call it dinner—this is it.)
Perch Picks: Holiday Happenings in Mineral Wells

Merry Wells Christmas Festival is right around the corner (starts November 28th) and the whole town will be twinkling. From the tree lighting to the parade and the hallmark-style festivities downtown, it’s the perfect excuse to sneak in a weekend getaway before the holiday rush. Book your stay early—our lights will be on and cocoa ready.
Speaking of downtown, while you’re here, you can walk a couple blocks for some amazing shopping. Then, grab dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and take an evening stroll through the lights. Mineral Wells really shines this time of year.
Critter Chronicles: Pet-Friendly Perks

Daffy here—the original Magpie mascot. I was here before Fang, Fancy, or that slowpoke Waldo. I’ve seen it all: the guests, the renovations, the endless supply of treats (I have opinions).
If you’re traveling with a four-legged friend, you’ll fit right in. Magpie Inn is pet-friendly, and I personally make sure every pup feels at home. Just don’t try to share my bed. Or my snacks.
Postcard from Magpie: Snaps of Fall in Mineral Wells

The air carries a cool edge now,
and the light through the oaks turns everything golden
for a moment before dinner.
It’s that in-between kind of beauty—
where fall lingers, gratitude deepens,
and every window feels like a frame for the season.

From our perch to yours,
The Magpie Inn Family
